“Three bad-ass girls from Orlando start a punk band that routinely rocks faces — Vanessa Brewster killing it on the drums, while sisters Nina and Susana Chaplin play guitar and bass, respectively, while trading off vocals. Think The Coathangers via Dum Dum Girls, turned up eternally to 11 while embracing the sloppiness inherent to lo-fi garage pop and rock. Wet Nurse’s slightly dirty yet angelic melodies and jagged instrumental parts will have you alternately singing along and moshing for your life.”

BEACH LIFE
Nina & Sana chill on the Miami Beach boardwalk.
Our show at Bardot for the Collective Sound showcase the other night was interesting! Different scene, different crowd, but amazing nonetheless. The venue itself was on the down-low, with no exterior signage and a doorbell to ring for entry. It felt like we were granted access to a secret club! Once inside, though, it was a beautiful lounge with an amazing sound system to boot. The sound guy even ran sound from his iPad. Crazy!
We were also voted in the top three bands of the night, which was awesome! We were not expecting anything, as we played first, so that was a really nice surprise. The crowd was pretty chill, as the stage was angled towards the bar and not towards a standing room area, but even those hanging out on couches seemed to be having a great time.
Bardot will most likely be bringing us back in the next few months because we placed in the voting, so be on the look out for that date! We will for sure be back in Miami on August 18th at Churchill’s Pub, though, and we cannot wait to see you guys there. We spent the next day chilling on the beach and sucking down piña coladas, so we will definitely need to be doing more of that soon! Let’s make it happen. :)
TE QUEREMOS, MIAMI!
